In a shocking incident in Bulandshahr district, Uttar Pradesh, a young man was allegedly stabbed to death on Tuesday due to a love affair, according to police reports. The victim, identified as Naif Ansari, 24, was at a shop taking photos with a young woman when her brothers attacked him with a knife.
Naif had intentions of marrying the woman he was with. Police Superintendent Shankar Prasad revealed that Naif was involved in a romantic relationship with a 23-year-old woman. The girl's family disapproved of their relationship, and upon learning that she was with Naif on Court Road, her brothers confronted them and fatally attacked Naif.
Authorities have sent the body for a post-mortem examination and are in the process of filing a case based on the complaint received. Prasad mentioned that efforts are underway to locate the suspects, and they expect to make arrests soon, followed by further legal actions.
Meanwhile, Assistant Superintendent of Police Rijul noted that Naif was a history-sheeter in the Kotwali Nagar area. He added that investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and conducting inquiries with other individuals related to the case.
